The Pure Spanish Horse, the most elegant breed in the world

It was in Cordoba’s Royal Stables that in 1567 King Felipe II commissioned the creation of a horse breed with characteristics that would make it ideal for both war and peace. Thus the Pure Spanish Horse was born, a harmonious, pleasing, docile and energetic breed. The round-ups of livestock in open country and shows involving horses and flamenco are two prime examples of their nobility, temperament and the extraordinary capacity for learning, making them ideal for all manner of equestrian pursuits.

The stud farms near Cordoba are the perfect place for observing this graceful animal in its natural setting. In addition to the mares with their foals, the breeders will explain to us the task of selecting and pairing the breed and the outdoor activities they carry out on a daily basis. By carefully choosing the best terrain we ensure that both beginners and advanced riders can relax in the saddle during our trails and rides. These horses suit all types of rider – just let yourself be taken where they lead! We also offer the possibility of crossing the fields in horse-drawn carriages, recreating the carefree spirit of an earlier era. All these activities can last several hours, the whole day or various days.

Horse fans know that few things can match the close connection between the animal and its rider, and this is why we invite you to brush and feed your mount once the ride has finished. The heady mixture of animals, fresh air and the rustic food are sure to conjure up a sensation of total freedom… And to finish the day, we offer an indispensible equestrian show, restrained and elegant like everything from Cordoba, where the skill of the riders, the nobility of the animals and the beauty of the music will keep spectators of all ages enraptured from start to finish.
